.

I wouldnt feed my bettas those nasty flakes, have you tried some live of frozen foods? or pellets?

planarias...are they those little white worms...I think my son over feeds his catfish...and his tank is over run with snails and sometimes tiny white things on glass...

my bettas only like the coloured flakes they ignore the black ones....spoilt little brats... :hyper:

 I have this mental picture of you separating the black flakes from the rest with a tweezer.... You don't actually do that, do you?

haha now i see that  . on the different subject, what kind of 'treats' can you get for your betta?

Am I doing something wrong? My Bettas eat what I give them. Of course I only feed them once a day and fast them one day a week plus one pea day :p

all bettas LOVE frozen bloodworm and will never (that I have seen) turn it down..... They gobble it up right away... Also Bettas should have a little more than flake (or that’s what my research has said) something with less plant and more protein (like pellets)... One suggestion is to try choosing a pellets that are small, I had a betta I thought didn't like pellets until I noticed that he did eat the smaller pellets, the rest he would stuck in his mouth, spit it out all angry it was too big (got to love Bettas and there personality’s)… Most pellet containers I’ve seen have clear bottoms just peek at the pellet size and pick the smallest... On the same token try breaking up the freeze dried bloodworm into smaller pieces, see if that helps.... Good luck… :D

The hikari pellets are small enough even for my small girlie to eat.

Flake food makes a big mess I find. But some bettas prefer it some hate it.

Tetra has at flake called Bettamin for Bettas.

I feed Atison's Betta Pro, Hikari, Bettamin, and live black worms once or twice a week, and pea once a week after a fast day. I have frozen and freeze dried bloodworm, frozen mysis shrimp, freeze dried daphnia, brine shrimp, and tubuflex. I seldom feed the frozen or freeze dried unless black worms are unavailable.

My Bettas may think they are spoiled, but they eat whatever I give them. As I said, probably because I only feed them once a day plus the two days of fast and pea. So they look forward to breakfast--even the pea.

Our Betta gets tropical flakes like the rest of the fishies and once or twice a week he gets bloodworm and brine shrimp

We've never had trouble getting him to eat anything, but I never give him enough food that it hits the bottom of the tank and starts decomposing though

my fish had prawns the other day..some didnt like them! I might feed them in a minute didnt feed them yesterday..does them good detox!
