.

No, I thought the same thing.

The algae wouldn't have built up that fast but the toxins would have.

It's pointless trying to apply actual fishkeeping logic to a cartoon that has sharks meeting to try and stop themselves eating fish.

In the tank the bigger problems are the almost impossible task of keeping moorish idols alive, and the fact the porky will have made short work of the shrimp before moving on to the other fish.

But for christ's sake, it's a damn cartoon people. It isn't real.

yeah last time we watched it we were wondering whay effect stopping the filter would have on algae build up?!?! in fact it'd probably reduce it, cos there would be nothing producing nitrate and algae tends to bloom when you have high nitrates.

and yeah you could never keep all those fish together, you'd need an absolutely enormous tank or they'd kill each other

glad to know there are people who watch tv like me and think, nah, that would never happen.
how funny!!! lol :)

 I wasn't meaning to imply I was really taking it seriously and over-analyzing it! Just that the thought crossed my mind in passing.

I was successful in forgetting about it, and I did enjoy the movie. ;) My daughter LOVED it!

:/ it is a cartoon..

did you also notice that there was no filter media in the little HOB filter? did you notice they were saltwater fish but where in a typical noob fw set up? did you notice there wasa puff in there with them? haha!

I know, I know, it's just cartoon.

What! Noooooo. Don't tell me that. You've spoiled everything. Next you will tell me that a lion cub can't grow big and strong living with a meercat, eating bugs. And there aren't any mermaids, or dwarves. And toys can't talk and move when I'm not looking.

Cats really can play jazz. And dogs do talk to each other at twilight.

And santa comes down my chimney each year.

And no-one has ever called me a naive idiot!

I thought it could have been funny if Marvin had gone through the change after Gloria was killed off like real clown fish do. Now that would have been interesting!
