No algae problem though.......I will take some pictures from the other side.........there is a conservatory on the back of the house with drapes hanging from the ceiling so it doesn't get too hot. The kitchen is at the back of the house (well, it faces the back with the conservatory behind it).
The picture has been carefully cropped to cut out all the pots/pans leftovers from our dinner.
And yes, taking water out is not a problem, just siphon down into a bowl in the sink.
I thought you were supposed to put the heater at an angle? or is that a matter for discussion.
We did have the heater at one end, but I was worried about cold spots and temperature differences across the tank. I would also be worried if the heater was at the bottom with it getting hot at the top.................
