BUMP:

Now open to offers along with 4 dwarf neon rainbowfish

I'd have the harlequins in a heartbeat if I could get to you... already have 14 so another 12 would fit well.

:( i want them to go to someone who will look after them aswell!

i would post but i have no idea how to!

Double bag, heat pack, bag buddy & a sturdy box....but I don't actually know where you'd get bag buddies or heat packs from! Esp as you wouldn't need lots...

found heat pack for £1.60, bag buddies for £1.75 and im sure i can find a box somewhere, would cardboard be okay or does it have to be one of those polystyrene ones?

You wont need a heat pack in this kind of weather in the UK currently, just insulate the box well with shredded paper, A cardboard box will be fine providing it is sturdy.

And when you double bag, place the first bag in the other the opposite way around so you have a knot at either end.

Good point...

Hanny lemme speak to the man-wife :)

Do you have any pics of your dwarf rainbows by any chance?

I can email you some later on today when ive given everything a good clean if you PM your email?

Right everyone, ive found out how to post fish, soooyou can either collect or i can post as best i can next day delivery.

Fish will be packed 3 or 4 per bag with a recommended number of bag buddies in double bags in a polystyrene box and newspaper with 'live animals' written on it.
Heatpacks i can get but if you dont want one i wont get it, i will be ordering everything off ebay because i dont have anywhere nearby that sells all this stuff (unless you can suggest somewhere within 10 miles or so of great harwood?

I can also get a fair amount of elodea if this is any help with its oxygenating qualities and such.

Or, you could buy the box/bag buddies whatever else you want, send them to me and ill post the fish for free., it is up to you, really want these to go to someone knowledgable soon or they'll be going to my lfs!

Any ideas on the weight? Ie, 4 bags with water in, in the box would weigh how much?

Special Delivery is £7 for up to 1kg, £9.05 for up to 2kg.

And how much is the lowest you'd be willing to go? Without meaning to sound awful, it's only worth it (for me) if the total cost is less than £16. That's how much 12 harlequins would cost me locally. I'd prefer to get from you, I know they've been looked after that way, plus they'll likely be bigger than the ones in town.

Hell, I'd still pay the postage even if you wanted nothing for them, because I'd still rather get them from someone who I know has cared for them.

But, if it's going to be £10 plus £9.05 postage then it doesn't really make sense, iyswim? :)

Erm, well it depends on what bags i use etc, cause obviously 1 litre = 1kg, i'll go for the safe bet and say over 2kg. I just want postage, bag buddies and box and maybe a pound or two leftover.
So lets say £15?

They are a bit bigger than most in lfs, more brightly coloured aswell :)

I doubt the box would weight a lot, its polystrene! haha, im going to ring round my lfs tomorrow and see if they have any spares that i could buy, it'd be much cheaper for both of us.

how would you want them posted? bag buddies, plants + heatpack +newspaper +double bag? Dont want to risk anything!

No heatpack. Over 2kg is £22

Do you have any bags you could fill to see how heavy they would be with the water?
