Butterfly fish are snacks for an oscar, stick with the hueta gars, mine get on fine.

With birchirs I suggest a couple large bits of wood rather than rock.

Not a huge fan of snakes, so I dont think I'll go with Birchirs

Im afraid the Hujeta's would become speghetti snacks as the ones they have are only 4-6'', and I bet my Oscar would try to make a meal out of it (he's roughly 5''). He eats everything else I put in there .

my hueta and oscar are about the same size as yours and hueta you can get hold of.

like i said before my oscar doesn't touch them.

up to you in the end but if you want them you better get them and ask for the biggest ones. if you leave it too long your oscars going to shoot up and will beable to eat them.

Yes, I find it unlikely that a 5" oscar will go after a 6" hujeta gar... they are also not particularly thin, so I see no "spaghetti" problems.

Go with balas or clown loaches or a black shark (if you can house it when it gets bigger). SHARKS ROCK
