10 Gallon With A Ph Problem

my 10 gallon(40 liter) tank consists of 5 black neons one ram

and 5 amano shrimp

i have a really bad filter

60 liters an hour

my test results are....

ammonia-0

nitrite-45

nitrate-0

and my ph is 7


the tap waters ph is 5.7

i need to lower my ph

what do i do

i change 20 % of the water every week

and im gonna add plants soon

what should i do to get my ph and my nitrite down.....???

Why do you want to lower your PH?... for the Ram? '7' is not that far off for Rams - if you do not wish to breed them... I'd be more concerned about the high nitr'I'tes...
 
How long has your tank been set up, it may not be cycled yet


Are you sure you have Nitrite at 45, did you not mean Nitrate.

Also what does your tap water read in terms of Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate
