Corys generally do ok with bettas as do shrimp. It really depends on the temperment of the betta. Some do fine with tankmates and others don't.

Ok my brother agrees to have it a betta sorority tank. So I just would like to know how many females would be ok in a ten gal. Also I would like red cherry shrimp with them. So how many of them?

4 females should be good. not sure about the shrimp though

I'm not sure aout compatibility of shrimp and bettas but strictly from a stocking standpoint, as a general rule, shrimp add very little to the bio load so you could easily have 4 or 5.

I am now very happy with this stocking plan! Hopefully my brother will be happy too. I'm sure he will be.
