10 Fish Died 2 Weeks Ago

i wouldnt say 40ppm nitrates is high for normal tropical fish. its safe. 400ppm is where you get problems.

but with rams it should be below 20ppm. and as ive said before, a temp of 28oC

yeah temp is 27 at the moment.

i am going to do a water change now and then add the fish back. when moving the fish between tanks (2metres apart) should i put them in bags and do it as though they are new fish from an lfs?

i am just worried that the current from the spray bar it too much, any way of reducing it?

Are you able to face the spray bar towards the back of the tank? That's one way of doing it, or if you have a dial on your filter to turn the output level down a notch that should help.

i have faced it against the glass and it has helped

just in case you want to know i have added the fish back into the tank and they are doing great and have just had a feasting on bloodworms
