So these are my tanks. They've changed quite a bit over the years and I'm sure will continue to do so.
First up is the 10gallon tank. It houses a ton of trumpet snails, pond snails, and a few cherry shrimp. This tank used to have a ton of cherry shrimp in it, but due to crappy dechlorinator, a bunch died.
Plants... Water Wisteria, Water Sprite, Money Wort, some kind of crypt (if it's still alive), moss balls, duckweed, java moss, and a melon sword I think.
I really don't bother with this tank much at all. I let the plants and algae go crazy in it.
And I learned that it is VERY difficult to photograph!
The 2nd photo is the right side of the tank. The java moss is growing up along the side of the glass. I guess using the algae to cling to.
29 gallon tank. This is the one that started my obsession. My husband is the one that actually wanted it at first, and then I took over.
Plants, a little bit of water wisteria, crypts, dwarf sag, a stem of cabomba, and about 4 amazon swords.
The water is that color b/c of the algae and b/c of the tannins from the wood. I'm over being worried about algae for the most part. It's not hurting the fish, and the plants aren't getting harmed (although I do need to trim off the dead leaves).
Fish are harlequin rasboras, some blue rasboras (not sure on the name), mollies, german blue ram, zebra danios.
Hoping the danios will breed. If not, oh well.
And my big momma, the 125gallon. Mostly sword plants, some vallis, sag, moss balls, anubias. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
Current fish are clown loaches, rainbowfish, tiger barbs, BGK, cories, killifish, pleco.
This tank has gone through some disaster recently. Loads of fish ended up dying unfortunatly. No idea why, and I'm keeping an eye on the tank before adding in more. So far so good though.
Also having a bit of a problem with the plants right now as well. Lots of them just aren't doing so well, so a lot of dead plant debris is in the tank still. Difficult to get it out but I'm making a dent in it. Once the weather warms back up next year, I'll be ordering more plants to fill in the big blank spot in the middle. Or I may just say screw it and plant all of the sword sister plants that are just floating there right now lol.
