So these are my tanks. They've changed quite a bit over the years and I'm sure will continue to do so.

First up is the 10gallon tank. It houses a ton of trumpet snails, pond snails, and a few cherry shrimp. This tank used to have a ton of cherry shrimp in it, but due to crappy dechlorinator, a bunch died.
Plants... Water Wisteria, Water Sprite, Money Wort, some kind of crypt (if it's still alive), moss balls, duckweed, java moss, and a melon sword I think.
I really don't bother with this tank much at all. I let the plants and algae go crazy in it.
And I learned that it is VERY difficult to photograph!
The 2nd photo is the right side of the tank. The java moss is growing up along the side of the glass. I guess using the algae to cling to.

29 gallon tank. This is the one that started my obsession. My husband is the one that actually wanted it at first, and then I took over.
Plants, a little bit of water wisteria, crypts, dwarf sag, a stem of cabomba, and about 4 amazon swords.
The water is that color b/c of the algae and b/c of the tannins from the wood. I'm over being worried about algae for the most part. It's not hurting the fish, and the plants aren't getting harmed (although I do need to trim off the dead leaves).
Fish are harlequin rasboras, some blue rasboras (not sure on the name), mollies, german blue ram, zebra danios.
Hoping the danios will breed. If not, oh well.

And my big momma, the 125gallon. Mostly sword plants, some vallis, sag, moss balls, anubias. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
Current fish are clown loaches, rainbowfish, tiger barbs, BGK, cories, killifish, pleco.
This tank has gone through some disaster recently. Loads of fish ended up dying unfortunatly. No idea why, and I'm keeping an eye on the tank before adding in more. So far so good though.
Also having a bit of a problem with the plants right now as well. Lots of them just aren't doing so well, so a lot of dead plant debris is in the tank still. Difficult to get it out but I'm making a dent in it. Once the weather warms back up next year, I'll be ordering more plants to fill in the big blank spot in the middle. Or I may just say screw it and plant all of the sword sister plants that are just floating there right now lol.

It's nice to see you back. Tanks look pretty overgrown, but I like jungles personally. I've kept a few of those. Sorry about the fish loss. What is your filtration on these tanks? I've been big on flow lately, more than lighting and anything else now.

10 gallon and 29gallon just have HOB filters. Nothing fancy. The one on the 29gallon is for a larger tank so it filters it pretty well.
And on the 125, it's a fluval fx5 canister filter. I need to clean it out again soon w/ all of the dead plant gunk that's been getting sucked up.

Yeah, the 10 gallon is WAY overgrown. I like it though. I think it suites the tank really well since it's just shrimp and snails. I figured they (shrimp) wouldn't need too much swimming area.

The 125, 2 of the sword plants went crazy w/ the offshoots. I didn't know what to do with them, so just let them grow. I'm trimming them down though. There are a few smaller swords in there that aren't doing so well. Probably going to take those out, cut off the sister plants and plant them in their place. We'll see what happens. I'm still trying to figure out what to do.

And the 29gal. The big sword up front, I've had forever. I think it's one of the first live aquarium plant we ever bought. I like that it's HUGE in the tank. Gives the fish some cover, and I just think it's pretty :D

wow they are overgrown
I;m kinda after the same look in your 125g as I love the jungle look as well. Your clown loaches would love it in there, not sure how many you got but I reckon a group of 8 or so would look cool in there

We only have 5 clown loaches at the moment. One of them died when a bunch of the other fish did, but thankfully the rest of them are ok. I would love to get some more eventually though. Maybe another 4. It's so hard to find healthy ones at the stores though.

I wouldn't look for them at a store. See if you can find them secondhand. It's a popular fish, many people have to move and have trouble rehoming fish that large. Maybe you can get lucky. Or maybe they outgrow another hobbiest's tank.

Something to try.

I'll keep an eye out for some.
The ones I have now, I got extremely lucky with. There is a Petsmart across town that isn't so bad. Their loaches were fat and healthy, and welp, no problems with them so far, well cept for the 1.
The one near us, they usually look sickly. And the LFS, UGh don't get me started on that disaster. It seems like most of their tanks are infested with ich. Not all of them, but a lot. They only seem to care about their salt water stock.

I don't go to LFS very much anymore. I order online now, or buy from local breeders.

I wish I had the money to order online. The shipping is just tremendous.
But even if I did, I probably would still feel more comfy buying from a store just so I could actually see what I'm buying, ya know?

Woot! Adding more bad quality photos of my 125gallon. YAY! lol

We recently restocked a lot of the fish that had died and then some.
The water is a little cloudy due to some shrimp pellets but everything is fine.

Photos!

The only fish that wanted to stay still the entire time. He/she is about hmm.. 8-9inches long.

Husband's new mystery pleco. He saw it in the LPS and liked the way it looked. We're thinking it's just another regular sailfin as the one above.

My BGK, or well, what I see of it most of the time. I'll sometimes catch it swimming around the tank looking for munchies, but as soon as it sense me near it zooms back to it's little hiding spot. It shares it w/ the clowns :D

Bad photo of some of the new additions. The LFS guy called them titanium tiger barbs, but looking them up on google, this coloration is called platinum. They are SO pretty. Silvery body, some have bright orange/red noses, while one has black fins.

Forgot to take a full tank shot but oh well. In order... is the right, middle, then left

The plants are just now starting to grow back after I almost killed them  Trying to find some different variety of plants for the tank. I love swords, but there needs to be something different. Hoping that the jungle vallis that used to fill the right side of the tank comes back. Think I'm going to try anarchis again once the weather warms up a little more (so whatever I order won't freeze in the mail).
