Hi all,

My tank has 1.2 wpg i am going to use carbsea eco-complete as the substrate and will be adding easycarbo daily. The plants I am thinking of putting in the tank are:
Dwarf hairgrass
Java fern
Anubias nana

and then either
Java moss
OR
Riccia if it will survive in these conditions - i won't be using it as a floating plant i will be using it as a carpet plant.

Should all of these be ok in the tank?

Can I tie other mosses like weeping moss down with fishing line like with java moss?

Thanks.

1.2WPG is meaningless without the tank size!!!

Over a 70USG it is good light, over a Nano it is low to non existent. More info please ;)

Its the arc tank 35 litre and it comes with an 11 watt arcadia arc pod. Doesn't say anything about t5 or t8 tubes, the replacement flourecsent tube is called "arcadia 11w original tropical lamp" so not sure.

That size tank with 11W means you are extremely low light. Your tank is classed as Nano and therefore for planting you should try 2 arcpods to be low light.

Ok if i get another arc pod will this be enough light excluding the riccia? I was going to buy tropica plants off aqua essentials, but because I need another arc pod for £25 i don't think i have enough money(Moneys tight at 13) to get the tropica ones. I have seen plants on ebay for half the price of the tropica ones. Has anyone bought off ebay? The seller has good comments like:

"Good quality plants great seller many thanks"

and

"Plants all arrived in good healthy condition"

Thanks for the help.

i thought i had seen arcpods for around £15?

the lighting will be enough for all the plants, i would leave out the riccia, you need CO2 injection and good fertilisation IMO.

last trading post on ebay are good at supplying plants,

I googled arc pod 11 watt and it came up cheapest on ebay for 19.99. Maybe the 9 watt one is £15?

Just intrested what WPG would it be with two arcpods? I thought 1.2 with one so 2.4 with two pods? But you said the tank was nano so anywhow what wpg is it with the two arcpods?
