this is why i tell people that a 125-150-180 gal tank is to small for a silver aro this fish is 36inch long

people should think before they buy silver aros

my grandad used to have one  and it ate a marble and died or something o_o but yours is gorgeous

its not my silver aro i just wanted to show how big they get before people go out and buy a aro not knowing what they are getting into

They're beautiful fish! Unfortunately there's a pet shop 'round here that keeps theirs in a tank that could be no bigger than 40 gals.

Just wow..three feet long. Must be such a sight to behold in person. IMHO..it just doesn't fit in an aquarium, such a large fish, in such a small tank. But I still love that you take good care of it

Its not his fish! I'm sure he wishes he had a big enough tank for one though... so do i...

It's just my personal thought and opinion, but I think them fish are ugly! Please don't flame or shout at me as every human has a right to their own opinion, thanks!

you are starting to piss me off. ifyou have nothing nice to say then dont say it at all

What would be a good price for a silver arowana, thats about 5" long? Just wondering...

ITS NOT MY SILVER AROWANA

and yes the tank is to small for it but people still buy them saying that a 180g tank will be big enought to home the aro for life who do they think they are kidding can anyone see that fish fitting into a 180g tank

and i also think silver aros are ugly mainly due to the fact that most of them have drop eye

HE HAS STATED ITS HIS OPINION AND NOT TO SHOUT AT HIM. I ALSO WOULDNT WANT ONE I CAN SAY THAT BECAUSE ITS MY OPINION IT DOESNT GIVE ANYBODY THE RIGHT TO SHOUT AT ME. BY HIM SAYING THIS IT DOESNT OFFEND ANYONE.

look the whole point of the thread was to show people that are buying silver aros that you better know what you are taking on

if they think that a 6x2x2ft tank will be big enought to home a silver aro then you better think again

a silver aro will grow 1 to 2 inch per month so even a grow out tank wont last long

so my rule is always the same get the giggest tank in your house you can then think about stocking it
stock to the size of the tank you have as all of this i will upgrade tanks when i need to rubbish 90% of the time never happens

people get their 6x2x2ft tank and think i have a very large tank now i will go and get my self a pair of sting rays and a arowana well think again trust me a 6x2x2ft tank is not that big
