The bichirs that I am interested in only get 13 inches max, so I'm not worried about them completely eating the ropes, but if there is aggression, I can move the bichir into another bichir only tank.

I will feed them frozen tilapia and bloodworms. That is what I have anyway, because I have other fish. I did not know that they could eat mealworms, so I might feed them those, because I have those on hand most of the time too.
The tank is about a 180. I can't put a picture at the moment But there are multiple pieces of PVC pipes, and some Java ferns anchored to a large piece of driftwood. There are also a few "caves" in the back.
