Feeding routine & what to feed

I have 12 neon tetra, 4 guppy, 4 honey gourami & now 6 peppered corydoras. Can anyone recommend a sensible food routine, ie, daily or two-days, mixed food or single food per feed. I'm new to hobby and my honey and corrie are new to tank. The corries seem to have much bigger appetite. Food...

    Mixing Gourami

Parameters are PH 6 / temperature 25°C I've got sand, but the four peppard corries I have don't stop eating - 12 might eat all my food stock! These are new and i'm just getting to know them, but I could probably add a few more.

    Mixing Gourami

Tank is 80cmx35cmx40cm. I have 4 corydoras, 3 young guppy, 12 young neon tetra - so far, no problems with 4 newly added honey gourami. I previously had Columbian tetra that turned super aggressive, so I returned to these to the store and replaced with 4 honey gourami. I think there is room for...

    Mixing Gourami

I am reading conflicting opinions online about keeping dwarf gourami with honey gourami. Does anyone have experience keeping gourami? I've got 4 honey Gourami and was thinking of adding two female dwarf, which I understand are less territorial than male. Could this work? Alternatively, can you...

Guppy turning aggressive - should I remove?

12 tetra - and they are not annoying the guppy. The male guppy swam as part of the tetra shoal until the female became pregnant and they have always got on. I think he is protecting the female, Do you know if aggression passes when female gives birth, or will aggression increase to protect...

Guppy turning aggressive - should I remove?

Ever since my female guppy became pregnant the male has turned aggressive towards the purple tetra in my tank. It appears he is becoming territorial and protecting the female. At present he is charging tetra away and no major incident yet. Should I remove him from tank before serious incident...

    Pregnant guppy

Would it be too stressful to remove a pregnant guppy from my tank and rehouse in an empty tank with just water? I understand many babies could be lost as guppy and other fish will eat them, but I have a store that will rehome survivors - should I let nature take its course or separate mother...

    Aggressive Rasbora

My mother has a tank with 8 Scissortail Rasbora. For two months they have been fine, but one in particular has turned super aggressive and keeps attacking the other Rasbora. Last week she lost a Rasbora due to a vicious attack, but we are unclear if this was the aggressive Rasbora or another...

    Female danio glowlight - aggressive?

I won't take them as i've got a happy tank. It's a shame they have nowhere to go, but i have to protect my fish.

    Unpopular Opinions (fish related)

I have neon, purple emperor and Columbian tetra living together - and never had any problems. They live with 1 guppy and have never bullied him - they've treated him like part of the family. I was told not to keep a single guppy but he is happy as Larry.

    Female danio glowlight - aggressive?

Yes - Celestichthys choprae is exactly same image. My tank will only squeeze two - any more would overcrowd tank. Someone had 6 but 4 were killed by other species and the shop won't take them back, which is why they asked me to take them. If they are not aggressive are they likely to turn in a...

    Female danio glowlight - aggressive?

Does anyone keep danio glowlight with guppy fish? Are female danio glowlight known to nip at fins and tails, particularly guppy? I have been asked to house two but not sure if they will bother my guppy.

Can any suggest a fish species for my tank mates

I tried this technique but as soon as i removed tank lid and tried to squirt they swam to the other side of tank to hide. This may be because they are new and still settling into tank?

Can any suggest a fish species for my tank mates

Do you know any feeding techniques for baby fish? My neon tetra are tiny and the breeder told me they may only be a few weeks old. When i open the lid to feed the bigger fish eat the food - and the babies don't come out from hiding.
