Hi, I have a couple of questions about Zebra Plecos.

I am purchasing a 55 gallon tank quite soon, and I was wondering if this would be suitable for a full grown Zebra Pleco. How big do they usually get? Also, are they compatible with angel fish? Thanks.

L046 do best in a group i believe, and need to be kept by themsleves in a species tank because they don't compete for food at all with over active tankmates such as angelfish , they reach about 8 cm's....3-4 inches i think that is in imperial :)

Hmm, I wanted to make it a community tank. Do you know of any types which would go well with angels and can be kept in a 55 gallon?

have a look on planetcatfish's database - there are nearly 300 different plecs - some just as striking as the zebras - but a fraction of the price ;)

They'll do fine at any numbers, but as compare to other plecos, they're quite a poor competitor for food.
