I'd second Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit

Although I do not understand why they need a high and low range test kit for pH ... my pool kit is one reagent ... and it's a bit touchy to read at 7.8 - 8.0.

Comes with four nice glass vials and caps ... good thing I already broke one vial !!!

Actually, the 50 watt does perfectly fine. There's a trick to it, actually. It's based on the temperature of the water without a heater, and what you need it to be. The difference is very small for me, so a 50 watt is perfect for my tank.

As you are in the UK I purchased the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit from 'Pets-at-Home' pet supermarket 2 weeks ago for about £16.00. A comprehensive kit for the money. S.

I've ordered the Tetra Laborett kit - £16.74 + P&P. This was online. Some shops were selling it for £23.74 + P & P!

Better value on the tetra laborett online if you have to buy other things as well, i have the tetra laborett kit, but you have to buy ammonia,and nitrate, separate.
