we have been doing regular water changes and the fish seem to be doing fine, but the problem is putting the new water in the tank. So far we've tried using the syphon, which is hard as involves getting the bucket really high up and also just pouring the water in but that involves taking the fish out of the tank which i don't like doing and also ends up dislodging the plants etc.
we've heard that the water should be poured back in through the filter (we've got a juwel 125 with all the filters in a box). can anyone advise on the best way to put the water in??
thanks

I use a (1 litre) jug. I fill it from the bucket (on the floor) and pour it in the tank. When the bucket is nearly empty I just pick it up and pour the rest in.

My goldfish like this and will swim through the bubbles that are created

I generally just pour my water in the tank straight from the bucket

I even do this with my betta babies and they play in the bubbles as it goes in :fun:

If you think it is too rough then you can just use a jug or something and dip it slowly into the tank and let the water slowly pour out
