This is my male crowntail, Oishii. I got him about a month and a half ago and he lived in a 1 gal, and I recently upgraded him to a 3.5 since he started to swim around less.
I noticed his front fins are a bit white/clear at the tip, but I think it's fin growth. But his top fin is slightly bent and looking a bit yellow. I couldn't see any black edges typical of fin rot, so I wasn't sure if he has it or something else. He seems fine though, making bubble nests and he swims pretty energetically.
Ever since I moved him, I've been doing 25% water changes every other day. I don't have a test kit, but I'll be buying one soon.

If he acting normal and not being sluggish and lethargic I would just do
some daily water changes for now.
Also make sure he does not look pale or darker in colour.

For now take a sample of your water to the LFS to be tested and ask them if
they wouldn't mind writing the results down for you.

These are the signs of finrot.

Signs of finrot.
White, red, grey fluffy edges to fins.
Translucent fins.

Fins falling apart.

Raggy fins.

Red streaking on fins.
Fin edges turn black / brown
Fins fray.

Welcome to the board.
