No senegals usually obtain a foot in captivity, they do get bigger, but ive not seen huge ones yet,my sister has my old one, its around 4-5yrs and still around a foot in length,maybe a little less...

Why? if your planning on feeding live feeder fish,id advise against it unless all else fails feeding wise, simple reason is gold fish hold no benifital nutritional values, also you could quite easliy transfer bateria to you fish if you do, not worth it, all foods on the market have everything fish need for a healthy lifestyle
