I have a mature male Green Serverum (had a pair but the female died) and canā€™t seem to keep any plants in the tank for any length of time until heā€™s ripped them to pieces. Heā€™s well fed but just destroys any plants I put in. Any ideas on plant varietyā€™s or ideas to stop him? šŸ˜„ Cheers.

Severums need plant matter in their diet and the fish is eating plants because he needs it for digestion. If you feed them more plant based foods and add things like pumpkin, zucchini, peas, spinach, etc, they are less inclined to eating the plants. You can also grow Duckweed (small floating plant) outside in plastic storage containers and add some to the tank each week for the fish to eat.
