Saw a 10" clown pleco at my LFS!

I thought they only get 3". :eek: I am positive it was a clown pleco, it even said it on the tank. The poor thing was all cramped up in the little 10 gallon box. Makes me worry about getting other "small" fish..
 
clowns get to about 4-5" (bigger than 3")
but if it was 10" i really doubt it was actually clown plec.
 
Then what would he be?

That doesn't look like one to me, our clown pleco of 7 years is only 5 inches long :)

I certainly don't think it was a Clown Plec, as smithrc they only reach 5" at max, normally less. I'd say its most likely to be something like a Gibbiceps Plec? :)
 
Maybe if I can go back to that LFS, i'll get a picture. But, he did have those stripes on him, so I dunno.
 
wow another post from ryan.... thats a rare occurance!!

It could be a number of plecs. There's loads of plecs that could fit it's description but if you could get a pic that would be grand.
