Hello my name is peter from liverpool. iv bin keeping fish for about 3yrs now, started of with a fluval roma 125 community tank, then upgraded my tank to a fluval profile 1000. Now iv moved away from a community planted tank to a african cichlid tank. I recently gave all my fish back to my lfs and got a few ocean rocks in return (bout 10 kg) so i purchased another 50 kg of rock an so i was ready for my first cichlids. my tank is black gravel with rocks built up from middle out creating a few cave like hiding spaces for the fish. I done this over a month ago and 2 weeks ago i added 6 fish, i already had a sailfin (5inch) and clown loach(2inch) in the tank. the 6 fish i added are 2 yellow labs 2 blue and black striped(forgot names) and 2 red zebras all really young, bout 2 inch is the biggest. this weekend i add 2 blue dolphins there only babies there bout 1 an half inch , just can't wait to add some more fish in a couple of weeks. i'l post some pics of my progress, thanks for reading.

i really like your tank looks lovely love the way the rocks are set up :good:

Thanks, i wanted a simplistic look but yet still a bit of the wow factor, i was sick of my community tank, cleaning leaves of the plants and dull fish. Hopefully maintenance should be a bit easier.

no i thinks its just nice tbh is the way the black gravel and the white rock all look with the light reflecting off i really like this im hoping to get a set up simerlar to this only with black sand and its a 4ft but 320litres

i'd recommend this tank, it comes in 2 sizes bigger than mine. mine is w100 h 60 d 47 cm, the other 2 are 120 wide (320litre) 150 wide (500litre). these tanks are drilled so inuts and outputs come through the base, on the 150 (profile 1500) it has inputs and outputs either end.

£625 you get everything with it, heater filter etc. Also they include gravel, net and gravel cleaner and delivery for free, if u ring them I'm sure they will swap the gravel for black sand
