Hi Everyone

one of my zebra danios seems to be having problems. she is HUGE and seems to be full of eggs but wont lay them. if fish could have a beer belly, she has it.

for the last week she has been unable to submerge, she seems healthy in other ways, however her back is now bent into a curve its almost like she has an air bubble in her back,

any ideas???

it sounds like bloat; a swim bladder problem.
I'm afraid that if she has burst her swim bladder
there is little you can do.

oh dear, are the other fish at risk?

also my ph has dropped in the last 2 days from 6.8 to 6 is that a cause or indeed a problem?

Yes it does sound like Swim Bladder Disease

Cause Bacterial infection; physical injury to the swim bladder from fighting;breeding: netting; transportation from the dearler; poor water quality

treatment Treat with an antibiotic in a clean, shallow tank (the water should be about 2 inches higher than the dorsal fin on the fish.) Carry out water changes as frequently as once per day if possible.

I hope this helps you and its not to late!!!!!
Goodluck
