This is correct. They will lay little white eggs, but they will never hatch.I would prefer to have a constant population, nerite snails don’t breed in freshwater correct? @PheonixKingZ
Yeah soon gets old quick mixing water and pouring buckets! You sound to have a ingenious method to water changes! That's got to save the back breaking work.Wow! New to the hobby & haven’t seen that. Does water continuously flow in and out or is it on a timer?
We had to come up with efficient water change system after getting 90 gal tank with a sump below. 25 ft hose siphons waste water into toilet & pump in water conditioned in a Coleman Cooler moves same temp water back to tank.
Not as cool as your system but beats hauling buckets.
The header idea with overflow setup came with the tank from its previous owner but the automation and timing controls were my evolution from the manual method. Had some set backs but seems to be working well last couple of years. Had this tank 4yrs now.Awesome! Did you invent this technique? Ingenious.
Personally I see them as a pest usually hitching a ride on a new plant.Thinking of getting some , any advice or tips is welcomed
