New 10 gallon tank

Hey, sadly my Betta didn't make it. Poor little guy died in his plastic 5 gallon tank right when I was planing on getting a glass one. I'm still sticking with fish keeping and I'm getting a 10 gallon glass tank. I'm not sure what types of fish would be compatable with that. I still have a Nerite snail so I'm not thinking about anything too aggressive.

If you want a few different species then I'd shoot for a 20 or 29gal tank instead. Other then a betta, shrimp, and other nano fish like rasboras, not much will fit in a 10gal. Do you know what your water hardness and pH is? Knowing these things will help with getting appropriate recommendations.

I know my water is hard, but I don't know exactly where it's at, the pH is slightly higher than neutral.

Your water supplier's website should have your hardness somewhere. We need the number and the unit (they could use any one of half a dozen different units)
