Origins: Southeast Asian mainlands, and many Indonesian islands.
Maximum size: 3.5 inches (8.5cm)
Care: Low end brackish fish that can be kept for short periods in hard alkeline freshwater. Minimum of 25 gallons is required. Needs a lot of hiding places behind rocks and plants, espically females who tend to be shy. Tempature range is between 73-79 F. pH range is 7-8. KH is between 8-20. Is very territorial, like all gobies.
Diet: Flaked foods, brine shrimp, blood or tubifex worms, and may accept ocean plankton.
Sexing: The males of this species have larger fins while the females are smaller and colored light yellow.
Breeding: Spawns in roof caves, male guards eggs, trigger spawning with freshwater water changes after conditioning with live foods.
Comments: Nice blue eyes, wont usually bother other fish, females are shy, big eater.
