I have a new tank that is almost finished getting built and was going to put Oscars in there but now i have decided to have a planted tank i was just wondering is there plants that grow really tall about 80 cm or more, cause if there isn't im going to put in shelves all around the tank so i can plant them.

the tank will have a high does of Co2 before any fish come along as to get the plants really established before adding fish

Angles are a real good fish for a planted tank i believe (Comments)

The dims of the tank is 106cm long by 76 deep 80cm tall

Im going to have to have a massive lighting setup to keep these thing alive but i think its worth it ill build the lights myself im tossing up the idea of having helogens but im thinking of the cost to keep them running to

does any one have an idea on cheap (setup and running cost) lights that would be sutibale for a tank of this size

Ps the funny dims are because i biult the tank around the stand i have for it

hi Blacky,

You can never go too far wrong with vallisneria...

Good site for info on plants HERE - takes a while to load but easy....

I'm sure angels would love it - especially the depth

The problem will be with lower plants getting enough light... - maybe look into T5 lighting? - a little more to set up than normal tubes but supposedly better...(I have no experience)

Ps the funny dims are because i biult the tank around the stand i have for it

Lol most do it the other way round ;)
