* Will a UV steriliser work? Absolutely. See here: http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=169325
* If I reduce the lighting what is the likely impact on plant growth? Yes.
* Should I just carry on dosing the usual amounts? Yes. But use plant health for feedback.
* The weekly water change should just be as per normal yup? Yes.

PS. The only thing that springs to mind is perhaps not enough fast growing plants..... But I guess you're all out of 'advise'

Thanks for your reply.... Appreciate it. As for fast growers, I've got about 200 fast growing stems (thats excluding all the other plants) I have read many of Barr's reports on GDA, it seems that most people who get it have ended up with crystal clear tanks after its cleaned up

I'm pinning my hopes on this

I reckon so. As you may know, algae can adapt more quickly to changes in the tank environment. Once all those plants have clued up to any changes then bon-voyage algae....
