How long should I keep fry separated?

I have 1 Molly and 1 male betta in a tank. My Molly recently had 12 fry and they are currently in a breeding tank separate from the adults. How long should I leave them separated? I want to put them back into the main tank but am worried the adult fish may eat/kill them!
