Snakes are very interesting pets. They drink water by buccal pumping with their cheeks. They swallow food whole. They can get short or become long noodles. So, have you kept a snake or snakes before or still own them?

Kept a few. Mexican Milk snake, various Corn Snakes, and a wild Gopher Snake (many many years ago, found it in our truck). The milk snake was the prettiest, but my favorites are the natural colored corn snakes. At the time I kept them I also had to raise the mice to feed them, no frozen mice like now. I didn't enjoy raising mice to feed to the snakes, so I sold them all. The captive breed ones were all very easy to handle, but I was bitten a number of times by the gopher snake.

I had a garter snake long time ago. After I messed up and killed it I never tried again. It was a neat little snake though.

I had a Brazilian Rainbow Boa when I was 11, but he passed and now I'm 12 and have a cornsnake...she's doing great too.
