hairy algae on my bog wood

please help my tank as been runnin for a week
now and i'm gettin white hairy stuff on my bog wood
its is ugly
just not sure wot it is
can anyone pls help

Place your bogwood in boiling water and that should clean up the hairy stuff. If its a new tank, you are still cycling. What fish have you got in there?

i had this on mine its like mold
It comes back soon i coulnt get rid of it i gave up on bogroot and got slate insted!

I had similar problem. I bought a couple of rosy barbs and they simply ate them all up

Dont give up on it yet Get a bottom feeder and they will help you keep it clean.
