Fly Macro

Hi guys, I have been getting a bit more practice in with my Canon EOS 1000D and Tamron 90mm 1:1 macro lens. I have been photographing flies. Here are 2 pics of the same image, but the second has been cropped and fiddled with.

The shutter speed was 1/250 and F5.0. I used the built in flash.

I don't have a tripod or any other equipment, although I'd like to invest in some once I have saved up for my new mbuna tank and match pistol and then saved a bit more money for the camera equipment (I think my shrimp need to breed faster lol).
 
nice shot , stopping the lens down further will give more dof , ie more of your subject in focus . try f/8 you shoulod notice the difference :good:
