hi i just got my 2foot tank it come with a fluval 406 I want a internal filter what size do I need

What are all the dimensions of the tank? We need to know the volume, so we can work out what size filter you need

Also, we need to know the intended fish species. Some fish need water current, some less, and some none at all--all to be healthy. So the filter has to be suitable for the fish needs respecting water current.

It would also help to know if live plants are intended. These can do much of the filtration.

There is no benefit in over filtering an aquarium. More in this case is most certainly not better.
