Filter question

I bought a 2.5 tank today and it came with a "Whisper Quiet" micro power filter. With this type of filter, do I still need to aerate the water? If so, will putting in an air stone get the job done. I want to get things done right with this tank!

Adding an airstone wouldnt hurt but is not needed. The filter is more then adequate in aerating your water.

depends on the kind of fish you want to add to it....
tropical: no airstone, but need a heater
coldwater: no airstone, no heater
saltwater: no can do

The tank is going to be for a betta. I was able to find a 7.5 watt heater at wal-mart. The only downside to it is that it doesn't have a temperature control on it.
