I use a marine blue actinic in the front and a day-glo in the rear, its important to get a white bulb that dosnt have much in the blue spectrum for the rear area.
Excellent water quality, at least a 3ft x 2ft x 2ft tank for a pair, pH 7.0 or lower preferably, soft - medium water. Theres some good info in THIS article.
