I just got my 55g set up will to breeding dempseys be ok in there?

Sure, it will be fine, just dont add any other fish as they might kill it because they guard there young with there lifes.

lol they must of been smoking something cause that has been the standard reply for a pair of breeding JDs is a 55 gallon tank, on every board that I have ever been on.

Yah thats what i read to haha. I wasnt quoting em they were justin sayin its bad to keep them in a 55g and stuff like that so i thought id ask people who acaully have Jack Dempseys!

the min for JDs is 29 gallons for one but that won't last very long. imo they won't last very long in a 29 and would get a 55 for it anyways in the end DD.
