Hey y'all!
The Ammonia that I'm using is Dr Tim's. I'm following the dosing amount and time that is listed (I'm not using anything else). Day 1 was 11/4 and per the instructions, it states to add 4 drops per gallon, so I added 20 drops.
Day 2 tested amon 4, ph 6.6, Temp 84°F. Did a 25% WC to try to get the PH up.
Day 3 per instructions, added 20 drops, amon 4, ph 6.6, nitrite 0.
Day 4 (today) did a 50% WC and tested amon 2 ph 8.2 nitrite 0 temp 84°F.
With amon at 2, not sure if I need to add more amon...? Per the instructions, I don't add amon again until day 6.
After reading the cycling thread on this forum it's got me a little confused. Just not sure if I am doing it correctly.
Also, my 75gal is still not cycled and it's been running with fish since Aug 8th. I haven't had any Nitrites since Oct 18th when I did about a 75% wc. The tank just crashed. I have been dealing with several amon spikes and finally got it down to. 25 however still no nitrite.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!!
