I was wondering if you could make a small container pond, I was thinking 2 sizes one that can hold a water lily and another mini festooned one with horsetails and duckweed. My question is how would you set one up and make the bog plants get water but also get water movement?

Usually a container pong is more than five to ten gallons.
Easy to make and create :)
1: Pump, a pump is easy to find you can get one at lowes just remember you get what you pay for.
2: put the pump on a brick (optional) in the container you have chosen, you can usually adjust the nosel to whatever setting you want if it has that.
3: Insert your plants, usually they either come in bulbs or something, so put them in a separate appropriate sized container with some sort of pebble or gravel for them to root in and hold them down.
4: as for fish it depends on location.

Okay, I meant to say a tabletop water garden
