Thinking of changing the food I feed everyone and would like to know what you guys think is best for my fish. I found a new whole seller for food you see, so can now get more appropriate food for my fish :)

bichir:
I can get: Hikari Tropical Algea Wafers, Hikari Tropical Sinking Carnivore Pellets, Tetra Plec Wafers, King British Plec Tablets
Currently Feeding: Tetra Plec Wafers, prawns, white fish, worms
Nutritional info: http://www.spodbox.org/~saphphx/fishiefiles/food/bichir.htm
Plan: I'll still feed her prawns, whitefish and worms, but cut back on them as she's getting fat lol I want to get her mostly on a good sinking pellet food though

thanks very much!

I personnally think you're putting too mugh thought into this

I feed my oscar Hikari cichlid complete (the red package) or the staple (the green package). The cichlid gold (or any hikari gold item) is overpriced IMO
as far as sinking foods, I feed nutrafin max sinking shrimp pellets, frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp and omega one algea wafers to all my bottom feeders (plecos, bichir, cories, clown loaches)

I once in a while go for omega one sinking shrimp pellets instead of nutrafin....

really, just check the ingredients on the labels and the price. I find the best quality food is Omega One as they just use whole food (whole salmon, whole shrimp), not fish meal and such. Hikari tend to overprice their stuff but i do like the cichlid food for my oscar. He's eaten that since a baby and he's grown quite nicely and is very healthy

Just vary the food once in a while to make sure they get all the nutrients. They don,t need to get them all in one feeding!

I think I over think everything :p But I don't know how much protien and stuff each fish need and all that, which is why I asked.
