I have a male betta in a 5 gallon tank. I had the tank near the window and it just exploded in algae. The water is even green. Iknow that I'll need to move the tank into my cooler bedroom and I can solve this problem, but I am wondering:
Is it bad for bettas to have lots of algae in their tank, and if it is, what are the adverse results. It's been green for a few days. I can't clean it for another 2 hours. Thank you for your help.
