Hey everyone. I've been really enjoying following some of the journals so I thought I'd start one for my own tanks.

So maybe I should start with my Juwel Rio 240. I've had this tank 2 years now and it was bought second hand from one of our old members (coldcazzie)

I guess I'll start with some photo's of when this tank was new so we can see how it's evolved over 2 years

And then curviceps celebrated the move with a spawn

At this time the light tubes made everything look really red. As soon as I got the chance I got them switched for something more natural

Wow! looks lush :)
Your lotus flower probably needs resting for it to sprout again, I accidentally found this out with my one. It was dead for a long time so I took it out and stuck it in a plastic cup under the tank and forgot about it, around 4 months later I was having a clear out and found it so I decided to plant it again...it floated and bobbed about at the surface for a bit then it sank out of sight, a month later I realised that it had rooted and leaves were forming again.
I read after that, that the bulb usually goes through a resting period if its in the wild with the rise and fall of the water levels in rivers.

And your SAEs have grown!! :)

thanks for the comments guys. I think the lotus is dead completely. The bulb became detached from the plant and my lfs told me to throw it away. At this stage the plant was doing well but since then the leaves started to rot and now there's nothing at all.

The BN is a naughty boy ... he's been bulldozing in the night

Aand the SAE's are down to two. I found one dead at the beginning of this week. For some reason the other two had started to bully it and I suspect they bullied it to death. There was no sign of trauma to it's body. I presume it had a heart attack or something from stress. I was very upset given that they are only 2 years old and are supposed to live for 10 years. I'm watching the remaining two and hoping the bully doesn't turn on the other one now.

More photo's to come. This tank has really evolved over 2 years. Looking back on the photo's making this thread had me really surprised of how it had come on in that time :)

okay, part 3 and hopefully the last for now on this tank

Gold headed, purple harlequins - or Midnight Rasboras as my lfs have named them. Lovely little fish

That's all for the Rio 240!

So. Now my Juwel Rekord 800. I set this up for my angel pair when they first paired off. It was meant to be a breeding set up but it didn't work out and they ended up getting moved back to the 240. Anyway, some photo's

I really like the look of the second tank, it would look good with a tannin feel, the water sepia colour- what fish are in there at the moment?
I wish I could have another tank, but ive been strictly told NO MORE PETS!! - Then I rescued another cat.... hahaha

last night I peeped into the tank and look what I saw!! Another baby panda hiding in and around the java fern!
