Zebra Loach

Hi everyone,

I bought 3 Zebra loaches on Saturday and they have been hiding since, i know they are still there and alive but don't know if they've eaten properly, they have lots of hiding places and only a bristlenose, 10 cardinals and one opaline gourami as company so there shouldn't be any bullying.
Any ideas?

What do you feed them??.The Zebra Loach is usually quite a lively fish although i think they are naturally nocturnal. They will spend a good deal of time out and about during the day (well should do) They do enjoy a planted tank with open areas to swim and places to hide or retreat to in among rocks or wood, so that's probably why they maybe hiding a lot. They could still be settling into their new tank? As for feeding i wouldn't worry they will catch little bits that fall down that the other fish have missed.

I expect they're just settling in; they do prefer to be in larger groups, so it would be great if you could add some more to the shoal (always assuming you have room in the tank for them, of course).

I think i may have room. Its a juwel rio 180 with there own biomax 3 internal filter. Currently stocked with 10 cardinal tetra, 3 zebra loaches, 1 bristlenose who is cool, and 1 male opaline gourami.

what do you think?

They are getting a sinking pellet and a little of the flake that is left over that i don't net out. The tank is probably medium planted, with monapi (think thats the spelling) wood also added for them and the plec as well as various bits and pieces to act as covered hiding spots.
