I am new to keeping fish. About a month ago I bought 4 long-finned zebra danios for my 28 litre tank. They got through the start up process and seem to be doing really well. I have read that they like to be in groups of six. Will the tank be big enough for six (the tank is only about 1.5 ft x 1.5 f.t, it is box shaped) or do you think they will be happier as it is already? I don't want to over-crowd my tank but I want to it to hold the optimum amount of life.
I have also spotted a small snail in there (about as big as my pinky fingernail). I had a live plant in there as the guy at the fish shop said it would help the start up process - but it must have hitched a ride on it. Should I leave it in there? It has been mowing up and down the power head cable and ornaments.
Any advice for this newbie will be much appreciated.
Cheers.
