Zebra Danio With Parasite?

I originally though my zebra danio had mouthrot, but he is showing two little strings hanging down from his mouth. Is this a parasite? Also, sorry about the picture quality, you try taking a picture of a zebra danio in a new tank.

I can't see the photo clearly enough (yes I do know what it's like trying to photograph some fish) but are they the danio's barbels? They have two little whisker things that are normally kept tucked flat but sometimes stick down from the sides of the mouth.

Oh, I didn't know they had barbels. Yeah, that's what it is. Just looked it up. Do you think the it's a fungal infection then?

Treat with an anti fungal and see if it improves; it might be the dreaded columnaris, but let's hope not. That can be a devil to cure.
