your averaged size tank is ...

I'm going about buying a new(too me) 2nd hand aurium but wondering whats the volume of your averaged 4 or 5ft tank as thats the size I'm looking for.

I have a 2ft which 10g(UK)(45litre), 30" which 22g(100l) and a 3ft which is 26g(120l)

I know that doesn't help, but I live in Essex too.....

I've been looking at getting a four or five foot tank and it seems that they are usually around the 45-55 UK gallon. If they are particularly deep then that can push it up to 65-70 gallons.

FWIW, I have a 3' tank that's a 46g bowfront...

yep I used the tank calculators but I don't know the other measurements of your average 4/5ft

My 72 gallon bowfront is about 4 ft and something, I have really never measured it exactly, but I know this because I have crates built for it ship it. But that was 3 years ago, I really don't remeber the exact measurements!

48x12x15=37 US gallons/140 litres

48x18x18=67 US gallons/254 litres

48x20x20=80 US gallons/300 litres

48x24x24=120 US gallons/450 litres

60x12x15=46 US gallons/175 litres

60x18x18=84 US gallons/318 litres

60x20x20=100 US gallons/390 litres

60x24x24=150 US gallons/665 litres

all volumes are approximate
