Hi
I have an adult sparkling gourami which is over a year old now and doing well in my 10g tank. He even croaks at the male dwarf gourami! I decided to add more and could only get young sparklers which are only about 1cm long. I have two and one seems to be doing ok but sadly the other is almost dead and can hardly swim. Could it be down to high ph levels as I have very hard water? I have tested the ph level and it's 7.6.
Grateful for any advice.

Are its fins torn? Sparklers are very aggressive towards each other - and relentless once they go on the attack.

Thanks for your reply. No sign of torn fins last time I saw it. It did look a bit discoloured and white though. I can't even find it today. Hoping it's not white spot as another fish might consume the body and become infected.
