best laid plans and all that , if ther is an idiots award on this site i think i have won this month , i will get to it now ,my nice bargin 4ft tank complete with home made stand and hood is a little smaller than i thought , there was me thinking it was about 200L and now after returning from lfs thinking mines a bit smaller than the ones in the shop i thought i would recheck my volume and its 145L dont laugh ! , now should i stick with this and stock less or just start again on a bargin hunt ( there will be a 6ft tank in 18 months when i move house)

Well IMO if you want a high stocking level wait for the big tank.

145 litres is big enough to keep Mbuna but as you say you would have to reduce your planned stocking levels. Whether you wait for a 6ft tank is up to you but 18 months is a long time.
