I'm so excited to have figured this out! :D (I hope) I posted a few weeks back about my betta's tail, I couldn't figure out if he had fin rot or was biting his tail. Well, I think he was biting his tail, here's why: his tail would be all shredded and then it would heal, then the day after it was all better it would be all shredded again. I ended up doing a 100% water change and decided put in a different filter. There's less water movement with the new filter, and he's been able to build a bubble nest. Since I put in the new filter his tail has been fine!
Has anyone ever had this happen before?? It's like he was depressed he couldn't build a bubble nest and bit his tail. Anyway, I'm glad he's doing better now. :)

Hmm, my guess is that the current just stressed him out... glad you figured it out and solved the problem! :D

Yeah, he may have also felt that his tail was causing him to get pushed around by the current. Glad he is better now! :good:

I guess that might be the problem....but keep checking up on it....to be on the safe side aight... :good:
