Yet Another Start From Scratch Documented Build

i bet your well chuffed mate. looking good.

i know your waiting for them to fill out a bit before moving stuff around but the twisted vallis in the forground will go a little mad when the runners start to shoot off. would do better at the back.

now for the waiting game. should grow into a cracking tank, well done

I thought they were a dwarf species as a lot smaller than the other vallis that came with the pack.

Tank doesn't seem to be going through any cycle whatsoever that's noticeable. No spikes or nothing so have been adding a few fish here & their over the last couple of weeks. I expect it's becuase I'm using adjusted RO water instead of tap. Plants growing like mad. Trimmed down & re-planted several species of stem plants as they had hit the water's surface. CO2 running at 20-25ppm.

Also bought

10 tiger barbs, 3 amano shrimp & 2 otto's

Still showing no ammonia spike, good water & plants absorbing bad stuff I believe.

A few more pics, been trying to get some decent shots of the tiger barbs but they just don't stay stil. A few updated tank shots too.

Nice tank and excellent photography.

Bear in mind that your Java fern will be better off attached to wood, rock etc. The rhizome prefers water flow rather than being buried in the substrate.
