When i finally get my new 20ukg setup, the lighting will only be running at 0.8 wpg. Is it essential therefore to add a plant substrate such as Tetraplant complete?
Thanks

Chris.

its not essential that you add it, it wll just give your plants more things to feed off of if you know what i mean. I would go ahead and get it becuase it cant hurt you and will only help

Thanks unspoken930 :)
Does this stuff ever need to be replaced??

It might... ive never used it but i would ask other peoples opinions. I think like all nutrient rich substrates, it will become depleated over time and yes it will need to be replaced. As for when... i duno

Well, like i said earlier. It cant hurt you and it will only make your plants grow better... I mean you dont absolutely need it or anything, especially if you go with low light beginner plants and with the wpg at .8, i see alot of java moss and java fern in your future haha
