Yellow Water

I introduced a driftwood into the tank. After researching I found out that it was tannin.
You guys have any tips to remove tannin? I like my water crystal clear and white

Activated carbon in your filter will remove it; it's one of the few things that carbon is actually any good for!
It's not harmful though and some fish (neon tetras, rams) prefer their water stained like that.
But it's up to you; carbon will do the job if you don't like it

How do I know that the 'thing' I bought is activated carbon? any tips will be nice.
Am new to the hobby!

If you look up your filter model, goole active carbon will give a price for your filter. I have 2 small bits of wood in the tank since jan, i do weekly water changes and i soaked the wood for 2 weeks before that its still brown the next day after water change can take months be warned

Well at where I live there is no such thing as famous branded filters or fish tanks
I made my own filter with a pump. I'm fine with the yellow but I prefer crystal clear water
